Carbonated

Thursday, December 13th, the Brainersd Area Environmental Learning Network will host a program on carbon trading. It's one in a series of programs about "Living Lightly In Our Communities". The program will be from 3 to 5 o'clock at the MN PCA Office in Brainerd. John Harting from the U of MN's Center for Integrated Natural Resources and Ag Mgmnt, will discuss how carbon trading may help protect and improve water quality, and lead to more sustainable land use options in rural MN.


On Monday, December 10th, Al Gore got the Nobel Peace Prize for his work to persuade global warming doubters and raise world wide awareness about climate change. The same week, environmental ministers from around the world areat the global climate change conference in Bali. Gord and Jean Prickett's son, Glenn, is at the conference in Bali We hope to hear from Glenn when hegets back.
